Sokroeun is 14 years old and in the 7th grade at Prey Tauch Secondary School. She is the 5th youngest in a family with 5 older siblings and a younger brother. Her parents are farmers who have worked hard to support their family and Sokroeun's education. In a letter to Ginger, Sokroeun said, "I think the project you are doing to help the girls is so fruitful and helpful. I am very happy indeed to be selected for this program. I promise to study hard to reach my goal."
